Weekly Devotional 11-26-18 Two Different Riders on Two Different White Horses

From Revelation 6:1-2 we read, “1Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, ‘Come and see.’ 2And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.” From Revelation 19:11-16 we read, “11Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.15Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
As we consider these two riders it is interesting that both riders ride forth with the intention of conquering. However, there is a vast difference. The first rider rides forth in deception but the second rider rides forth openly. The first rider will offer peace, but the second rider rides forth with war in mind. The first rider presents himself as man’s benefactor, but in reality he is his own benefactor. The second rider will come against the first rider and his followers becoming man’s benefactor. The first rider will turn on the earth’s populace and bring war, economic collapse famine, pestilence and death. The second rider will bring an end to the Antichrist and bring about restoration and peace. The first rider is the Antichrist who is indwelt by Satan, the hater of God. The second rider is the glorified Son of God, the second person of the Holy Trinity. The first rider will be cast into eternal torment. The Second rider will rule righteously upon the earth for one thousand years.
It even gets better, consider Revelation 21.1-5. “1Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.’ 5Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’
Thank you, Father God, for the rider on the white horse of Revelation 19:11-16. What a wonder!
