Is Every human born, a Child of God?

Is Every human born, a Child of God?

Various people have said to this writer that we are all children of God but as the insert above infers, such a claim is not found in the Bible. “In truth many Scriptures say just the opposite. John 1:11-13 for instance affirms this truth, Consider:  “11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Jesus Himself said of the Pharisees: nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Verse 12 says that various individuals of His people who did receive Him, He gave the right to become children of God. One does not have to become what one already is.

From John 8:42-44 we read: 42 If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it”

So in truth, no one is born into this world automatically a child of God. But thanks be to God, by and in His sovereignty (vs. 13) He grants the status of being His children to those who by faith turn to Him. What a wonder!

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God” (John 3:14-21).

God desires that all were His children, so much so that He sacrificed His only begotten son so that every person could become child.
