Glory to God

Glory to God

When we became Christians the lifestyle of sin was broken in our lives, and we began living a new lifestyle. Godly desires took over. Even though we sin from time to time our desire to sin is not as intense as it once was. In truth, sin is distasteful. The Holy Spirit, who resides within us makes sure of that. Glory to God. The apostle Paul writes that we have put on the “new man” which was created according to God, in righteousness and holiness.

Pause for a moment and bask in this truth, we no longer walk as we used to walk, in the futility of our unregenerated minds. Our understanding was darkened, and we were alienated from life of God because of the ignorance that was in us. This was because of the blindness of our hearts. We were past feeling and had given ourselves over to immorality, vileness, and vulgarity. We did this happily suppressing our God-given conscience. We lived according to the dictates of our old self. Lying did not bother us, anger consumed us, and filthy communication proceeded from our mouths. Not knowing, we had given ourselves over to Satan. But when God the Holy Spirit regenerated us to newness of spiritual life all of this became clear to us. Amen!

Please read Ephesians 4:17-32.

Thank you Lord for saving our souls, thank you Lord for making us whole, thank you Lord for giving to us your salvation so rich and free!
