Devocional semanal 8-9-21 Corporalmente atrapado
1st Thesalonicenses 4:13-18 “13Tampoco queremos, hermanos, que ignoréis acerca de los que duermen, para que no os entristezcáis como los otros que no tienen esperanza.14Porque si creemos que Jesús murió y resucitó, así también traerá Dios con Jesús a los que durmieron en él.15Por lo cual os decimos esto en palabra del Señor: que nosotros que vivimos, que habremos quedado hasta la venida del Señor, no precederemos a los que urmieron.16Porque el Señor mismo con voz de mando, con voz de arcángel, y con trompeta de Dios, descenderá del cielo; y los muertos en Cristo resucitarán primero.17Luego nosotros los que vivimos, los que hayamos quedado, seremos arrebatados juntamente con ellos en las nubes para recibir al Señor en el aire, y así estaremos siempre con el Señor.18Por tanto, alentaos los unos a los otros con estas palabras.”
Tenga en cuenta que los cuerpos de los que han muerto se levantarán de sus lugares para dormir (tumbas de cualquier tipo) y serán llevados al cielo y luego los que están vivos serán atrapados corporalmente. No tiene sentido, como algunos han pensado, que sólo los espíritus de los que están vivos estén atrapados y no sus cuerpos también. El propósito de la resurrección de los muertos es unir sus cuerpos con sus espíritus glorificados. 1st Corintios 15:45-55 verifica esto,
Considera: “45Así también está escrito: Fue hecho el primer hombre Adán alma viviente; el postrer Adán, espíritu vivificante. 46Mas lo espiritual no es primero, sino lo animal; luego lo espiritual. 47El primer hombre es de la tierra, terrenal; el segundo hombre, que es el Señor, es del cielo. 48Cual el terrenal, tales también los terrenales; y cual el celestial, tales también los celestiales. 49Y así como hemos traído la imagen del terrenal, traeremos también la imagen del celestial. 50Pero esto digo, hermanos: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios, ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción. 51He aquí, os digo un misterio: No todos dormiremos; pero todos seremos transformados, 52en un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la final trompeta; porque se tocará la trompeta, y los muertos serán resucitados incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos trans-formados. 53Porque es necesario que esto corruptible se vista de incorrupción, y esto mortal se vista de inmortalidad. 54Y cuando esto corruptible se haya vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal se haya vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte en victoria. 55¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿Dónde, oh sepulcro, tu victoria?“
Pablo escribe que aquellos de nosotros que estamos vivos en el rapto seremos cambiados instantáneamente. Sería inexplicable para el mundo descubrir los cuerpos de los cristianos fallecidos desaparecidos y, sin embargo, ver millones de cuerpos de los que están vivos en la puesta al día por toda la tierra. Ambos habrían sido conocidos por sus creencias, por haber confiado en Cristo.
Ciertamente, los cuerpos de aquellos que están vivos en el rapto serán cambiados instantáneamente, ya que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios; ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción, pero será un cambio instantáneo.

Weekly Devotional 8-9-21 Bodily Caught Up
1st Thessalonians 4-13-18
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Please note that the bodies of those who have died will raise from their sleeping places (graves of whatever sort) and will be carried into heaven and then those who are alive will be bodily caught up. It does not make sense, as some have thought, that it is only the spirits of those who are alive that are caught up and not their bodies also. The purpose of the resurrection of the dead is to unite their bodies with their glorified spirits. 1st Corinthians 15:45-55 verifies this, Consider:
45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
Paul writes that those of us who are alive at the rapture will be changed instantaneously. It would be unexplainable for the world to discover the bodies of deceased Christian missing and yet see millions of bodies of those who are alive at the catching up lying about all over the earth. Both would have been known for their beliefs, for having trusted in Christ.
Certainly the bodies of those who are alive at the rapture will be changed instantaneously as flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption but, it will be an instantaneous change.
