Weekly Devotional 5-24-21 Who is Responsible, God or Satan?
Following is an excerpt from a Christian friend, I do not remember who, but find that it answers several questions about evil and the suffering of many, of all humanity? Please consider his thoughts:
I have a friend who was born after her mother was raped. She does not know her father. I strongly believe that God is all knowing, and people come from God and He even knew/knows how we would/will be born. But I want to know in the case of this friend of mine, was it His plan that she would born due to this rape? If not, then why did God allow her to be born in such a situation?
In answer the addressee answered: God is all knowing, and He knew your friend was going to come into the world, because of rape, but that does not make Him responsible. Nor does it mean it was God’s plan for her to be born under those circumstances. One of the hardest jobs I have is convincing people that God is not the cause of the bad things that happen in the world. He did not create in this way, and in fact, since the fall of man the whole world has been under the control of the evil one (2nd Corinthians 4:3, 1st John 5:19). The bad things that happen are Satan’s fault because he is the one who brought sin into the world.
God gave the life of His Son to reverse the effects of sin, and in the fullness of time will restore His creation to its original condition. In the meantime your friend was born into this sinful world under terrible circumstances. But because she was, she now has the opportunity to become a child of God (John 1:12-13) and spend eternity filled with blessing in His presence. Had she not been born, she would not have this opportunity, Remember, Jesus said, “in the world you will have trouble, But take heart, I have overcome the world? (John 16:33).
I am thankful to the brother who tendered this article as it compliments a devotional, I had written back on June the 26th, 2017 titled “Blame Wrongly Placed”. Please consider.
Placed Many times when a tragedy occurs such as multiple deaths by storm, accident, disease, or the evil works of some person or persons, the question is often asked, “What is God doing?” Just recently, for instance, a certain pastor addressing the murder of several persons said, “I don’t think we’re meant to understand everything that God does because He is God, and we are not.” Perhaps he meant that we cannot always understand why God allows tragedy and that would be right. However, if he was placing blame on God, in any sense for the murder of these persons, he was greatly amiss. For instance, James, the half-brother of the Lord Jesus, and the leader of the early Jerusalem church wrote, “13 Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:13-17 NKJV). James’ testimony of God, and his testimony about man, was not his own testimony, but God’s (2nd Timothy 3:16). His testimony was and is that God does not sin, nor does He tempt anyone toward it. He is unchangeable. He does not remove Himself from His goodness. Concerning storms of nature, they are the result of the curse of Genesis 3:17-18. Concerning diseases, they are resultant of the molecular break down of life’s cellular structures. Remember, God warned Adam that in the day he disobeyed God the process of physical death would begin (Genesis 2:17). Concerning accidents, that is just what they are, accidents. Concerning murder, it is the result of sin, the rejection of God’s authority over the murderer’s life. God does allow all of these things. He could prevent them, but because they occur, He obviously does not always prevent them. We have no way of knowing how many times God has prevented certain things, but to say that God caused a certain storm, caused a person to have a certain disease, caused an accident or motivated a person or persons toward murder is a charge that should never be made. God is a God of love and He is in the process of restoring the world to its pre-sin condition when there were no storms in nature, no disease, no accidents, and no murder. The Apostle John was told of this wonderful future in the revelation given to him by Jesus, God the Son. He testified; “1Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God, Himself will be with them and be their God. 4And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:1-4 NKJV). Surely, one might ask, “What is He doing in the interim? What about all the people that have died over these many centuries, from Adam’s time until present which numbers in the billions? What benefit is a future restoration to them?” The answer is that man is an eternal spiritual being who has a future. When he dies, because he has been made righteous by God, he will be part of that new creation. In the present, when the righteous man dies, his spirit is transported immediately into the presence of the Lord (2nd Corinthians 5:6), and his body will be resurrected to newness of life. Consider the Apostle Paul’s testimony concerning this in his first letter to the Thessalonians. “13But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 NKJV). God, therefore, is not to be blamed for the tragedies that man suffers. Rather, He is to be praised for His wonderful work has brought and will bring man into His presence.

Devocional semanal 5-24-21 ¿Quién es responsable, Dios o Satanás?

Pero quiero saber en el caso de mi amigo, ¿era su plan que ella naciera debido a esta violación? Si no, ¿por qué Dios le permitió nacer en tal situación?
En respuesta, el destinatario respondió: Dios está sabiendo, y He sabía que tu amigo iba a venir al mundo, debido a la violación, pero eso no lo hace responsable. Tampoco significa que fue el plan de Dios que naciera bajo esas circunstancias. Si no hubiera nacido, no tendría esta oportunidad, recuerde, Jesús dijo, “33 Estas cosas os he hablado para que en mí tengáis paz. En el mundo tendréis aflicción; pero confiad, yo he vencido al mundo. (John 16:33).

Colocada muchas veces cuando ocurre una tragedia como múltiples muertes por tormenta, accidente, enfermedad o las malas obras de alguna persona o persona,a menudo se hace la pregunta: “¿Qué está haciendo Dios?” Hace poco, por ejemplo, un cierto pastor que se refirió al asesinato de varias personas dijo: “No creo que estemos destinados a entender todo lo que Dios hace porque Él es Dios, y nosotros no lo somos”. El testimonio de Dios de Santiago, y su testimonio sobre el hombre, no fue su propio testimonio, sino el de Dios (2º Timoteo 3:16). Su testimonio fue y es que Dios no peca, no tienta a nadie hacia él. Es inmutable. No se aparta de Su bondad. En cuanto a las tormentas de la naturaleza, son el resultado de la maldición del Génesis 3:17-18. En cuanto a las enfermedades, son el resultado de la ruptura molecular de las estructuras celulares de la vida. Recuerden, Dios advirtió a Adán que en el día en que desobedeciera a Dios comenzaría el proceso de muerte física (Génesis 2:17).
En cuanto a los accidentes, eso es justo lo que son, los accidentes. En cuanto al asesinato, es el resultado del pecado, el rechazo de la autoridad de Dios sobre la vida del asesino. Dios permite todas estas cosas. Él podría prevenirlos, pero debido a que ocurren, Obviamente no siempre los impide. No tenemos manera de saber cuántas veces Dios ha impedido ciertas cosas, pero decir que Dios causó una cierta tormenta, causó que una persona tuviera una cierta enfermedad, causó un accidente o motivó a una persona o personas hacia el asesinato es un cargo que nunca debe hacerse. Dios es un Dios del amor y él está en el proceso de restaurar el mundo a su condición pre-pecado cuando no había tormentas en la naturaleza, no había enfermedad, no hay accidentes, y no hay asesinato. El apóstol Juan fue informado de este maravilloso futuro en la revelación que le dio Jesús, Dios Hijo. Testificó; “1 Vi un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva; porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra pasaron, y el mar ya no existía más. 2 Y yo Juan vi la santa ciudad, la nueva Jerusalén, descender del cielo, de Dios, dispuesta como una esposa ataviada para su marido. 3 Y oí una gran voz del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y él morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y Dios mismo estará con ellos como su Dios. 4 Enjugará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y ya no habrá muerte, ni habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor; porque las primeras cosas pasaron” (Revelation 21:1-4 NKJV). Seguramente, uno podría preguntar: “¿Qué está haciendo entretanto? ¿Qué hay de todas las personas que han muerto a lo largo de tantos siglos, desde la época de Adán hasta la actualidad, qué números en miles de millones? ¿Qué beneficio les beneficia?” La respuesta es que el hombre es un ser espiritual eterno que tiene futuro. Cuando muera, porque Dios lo ha hecho justo, será parte de esa nueva creación. En el presente,cuando el hombre justo muera, su espíritu es transportado inmediatamente a la presencia del Señor (2º Corintios 5:6), y su cuerpo resucitará a la novedad de la vida. Consideremos el testimonio del apóstol Pablo al respecto en su primera carta a los tesalonicenses. “13 Tampoco queremos, hermanos, que ignoréis acerca de los que duermen, para que no os entristezcáis como los otros que no tienen esperanza. 14 Porque si creemos que Jesús murió y resucitó, así también traerá Dios con Jesús a los que durmieron en él. 15 Por lo cual os decimos esto en palabra del Señor: que nosotros que vivimos, que habremos quedado hasta la venida del Señor, no precederemos a los que durmieron. 16 Porque el Señor mismo con voz de mando, con voz de arcángel, y con trompeta de Dios, descenderá del cielo; y los muertos en Cristo resucitarán primero. 17 Luego nosotros los que vivimos, los que hayamos quedado, seremos arrebatados juntamente con ellos en las nubes para recibir al Señor en el aire, y así estaremos siempre con el Señor. 18 Por tanto, alentaos los unos a los otros con estas palabras. (1º Tesalonicenses 4:13-18)
Dios, por lo tanto, no debe ser culpado por las tragedias que sufre el hombre. Más bien, Él debe ser alabado por Su maravillosa obra ha traído y traerá al hombre a Su presencia.
