Devocional semanal 7-5-21 / 3-11-22 El mensaje es claro
Un día, el Padre Dios mandará a Jesús a separar las nubes para llevar a sus hijos a casa. En los días de Noé, Dios mandó a Noé que construyera un arca porque él estaba a punto de derramar Su ira sobre la tierra y destruir a toda la humanidad debido al pecado impenitente y la desobediencia. La gente se burlaba de Noé, pero en toda realidad, se estaban burlando de Dios con su incredulidad y su egocentrismo, tal como lo hacen hoy. El apóstol Pablo advirtió a Timoteo (e indirectamente a nosotros) que esta actitud prevalecería entre las personas de los últimos días. Considera 2ndTimoteo 3:1-5……“1 También debes saber esto: que en los postreros días vendrán tiempos peligrosos. 2 Porque habrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, vanagloriosos, soberbios, blasfemos, desobedientes a los padres, ingratos, impíos, 3 sin afecto natural, implacables, calumniadores, intemperantes, crueles, aborrecedores de lo bueno, 4 traidores, impetuosos, infatuados, amadores de los deleites más que de Dios, 5 que tendrán apariencia de piedad, pero negarán la eficacia de ella; a éstos evita.”
Ciertamente vemos esta actitud a gran escala en toda la humanidad, pero desafortunadamente, también es común en la iglesia profesante. Muchas personas que nombran el nombre de Jesús, Cristo pero no tienen ninguna relación con él, viven de acuerdo a sus naturalezas caídas. No ven nada malo en vivir vidas que son comunes entre los impíos. Pero, ¿qué nos dice Pablo por inspiración del Espíritu Santo? ¿No nos dice que caminemos de una manera piadosa? Él lo hace, considere su instrucción a los Efesios: “4:17 Esto, pues, digo y requiero en el Señor: que ya no andéis como los otros gentiles, que andan en la vanidad de su mente, 18 teniendo el entendimiento entenebrecido, ajenos de la vida de Dios por la ignorancia que en ellos hay, por la dureza de su corazón; 19 los cuales, después que perdieron toda sensibilidad, se entregaron a la lascivia para cometer con avidez toda clase de impureza. 20 Mas vosotros no habéis aprendido así a Cristo, 21 si en verdad le habéis oído, y habéis sido por él enseñados, conforme a la verdad que está en Jesús. 22 En cuanto a la pasada manera de vivir, despojaos del viejo hombre, que está viciado conforme a los deseos engañosos, 23 y renovaos en el espíritu de vuestra mente, 24 y vestíos del nuevo hombre, creado según Dios en la justicia y santidad de la verdad. 25 Por lo cual, desechando la mentira, hablad verdad cada uno con su prójimo; porque somos miembros los unos de los otros. 26 Airaos, pero no pequéis; no se ponga el sol sobre vuestro enojo, 27 ni deis lugar al diablo. 28 El que hurtaba, no hurte más, sino trabaje, haciendo con sus manos lo que es bueno, para que tenga qué compartir con el que padece necesidad. 29 Ninguna palabra corrompida salga de vuestra boca, sino la que sea buena para la necesaria edificación, a fin de dar gracia a los oyentes. 30 Y no contristéis al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual fuisteis sellados para el día de la redención. 31 Quítense de vosotros toda amargura, enojo, ira, gritería y maledicencia, y toda malicia. 32 Antes sed benignos unos con otros, misericordiosos, perdonándoos unos a otros, como Dios también os perdonó a vosotros en Cristo. 32 Antes sed benignos unos con otros, misericordiosos, perdonándoos unos a otros, como Dios también os perdonó a vosotros en Cristo.
5:1 Sed, pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados. 2 Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó a sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio a Dios en olor fragante. 3 Pero fornicación y toda inmundicia, o avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre vosotros, como conviene a santos; 4 ni palabras deshonestas, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen, sino antes bien acciones de gracias. 5 Porque sabéis esto, que ningún fornicario, o inmundo, o avaro, que es idólatra, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo y de Dios. 6 Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas, porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia. 7 No seáis, pues, partícipes con ellos. 8 Porque en otro tiempo erais tinieblas, mas ahora sois luz en el Señor; andad como hijos de luz 9 (porque el fruto del Espíritu es en toda bondad, justicia y verdad), 10 comprobando lo que es agradable al Señor. 11 Y no participéis en las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas, sino más bien reprendedlas; 12 porque vergonzoso es aun hablar de lo que ellos hacen en secreto. 13 Mas todas las cosas, cuando son puestas en evidencia por la luz, son hechas manifiestas; porque la luz es lo que manifiesta todo. 14 Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, Y levántate de los muertos, Y te alumbrará Cristo. 15 Mirad, pues, con diligencia cómo andéis, no como necios sino como sabios, 16 aprovechando bien el tiempo, porque los días son malos. 17 Por tanto, no seáis insensatos, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor. 18 No os embriaguéis con vino, en lo cual hay disolución; antes bien sed llenos del Espíritu” (Efesios 4:17-5:18).
Lo único sabio que el Dios Burlador puede hacer es detenerse y pensar, usted está en contra de una fuerza inamovible, Santo Dios. Debido al pecado estáis alienados contra Él, y Él no quiere, no puede, permitir que estés en Su presencia. Mientras todavía hay tiempo, arrepiéntese de su pecado y a su vez a Él. Él es un Dios de misericordia, amor y perdón. Él no te rechazará. Sabes dentro de ti mismo que no estás bien con Dios, ¿por qué seguir luchando? Es una absoluta necedad.
Lo único sabio que un cristiano díscolo puede hacer es hacer un balance de su vida, considerando que en tu desplantecimiento, no estás complaciendo a Dios, sino que Él está esperando para volver a ti. La historia de Jesús del hijo paródico es un buen ejemplo de esto. “11 También dijo: Un hombre tenía dos hijos; 12 y el menor de ellos dijo a su padre: Padre, dame la parte de los bienes que me corresponde; y les repartió los bienes. 13 No muchos días después, juntándolo todo el hijo menor, se fue lejos a una provincia apartada; y allí desperdició sus bienes viviendo perdidamente. 14 Y cuando todo lo hubo malgastado, vino una gran hambre en aquella provincia, y comenzó a faltarle. 15 Y fue y se arrimó a uno de los ciudadanos de aquella tierra, el cual le envió a su hacienda para que apacentase cerdos. 16 Y deseaba llenar su vientre de las algarrobas que comían los cerdos, pero nadie le daba. 17 Y volviendo en sí, dijo: !!Cuántos jornaleros en casa de mi padre tienen abundancia de pan, y yo aquí perezco de hambre! 18 Me levantaré e iré a mi padre, y le diré: Padre, he pecado contra el cielo y contra ti. 19 Ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo; hazme como a uno de tus jornaleros. 20 Y levantándose, vino a su padre. Y cuando aún estaba lejos, lo vio su padre, y fue movido a misericordia, y corrió, y se echó sobre su cuello, y le besó. 21 Y el hijo le dijo: Padre, he pecado contra el cielo y contra ti, y ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo. 22 Pero el padre dijo a sus siervos: Sacad el mejor vestido, y vestidle; y poned un anillo en su mano, y calzado en sus pies. 23 Y traed el becerro gordo y matadlo, y comamos y hagamos fiesta; 24 porque este mi hijo muerto era, y ha revivido; se había perdido, y es hallado. Y comenzaron a regocijarse” (Lucas 15:11-24).
Ya ven, no es necesario que tú, ese yo, que nosotros, pasemos por todas esas tonterías. Si dejamos que el Espíritu de Dios gobierne en nuestras vidas, no nos involucraremos en las cosas mundanos como lo hizo este hijo. Y tan importante, seremos agradables a Él, quien sacrificó tanto por nosotros.

Weekly Devotional 7-5-21 The Message is Clear
One day, Father God will command Jesus to part the clouds to take His children home. In the days of Noah, God commanded Noah to build an ark because He was about to pour out His wrath on the earth and destroy all humanity due to unrepentant sin and disobedience. People mocked Noah, but in all actuality, they were mocking God with their unbelief and their self-centeredness, just as they do today. The apostle Paul warned Timothy (and indirectly us) that this attitude would be prevalent among persons of the last days. Consider 2nd Timothy 3:1-5……
“1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”
Certainly we see this attitude widescale throughout humanity but unfortunately, it is also common in the professing church. Many persons who name the name of Jesus, Christ but have no relationship with him, live according to their fallen natures. They see nothing wrong with living lives that are common among the ungodly. But what does Paul by inspiration of the Holy Spirit tell us? Does he not tell us to walk after a Godly manner? He does, consider his instruction to the Ephesians:
“4:17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.
5: 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. 3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
14 Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit”
(Ephesians 4:17-5:18).
The only wise thing for the God Mocker to do is stop and think, you are up against and unmovable force, Holy God. Because of sin you are alienated against Him, and He will not, cannot, allow you to be in His presence. While there is still time, repent of your sin and turn to Him. He is a God of mercy, love, and forgiveness. He will not turn you away. You know within yourself that you are not right with God, why keep battling? It is utter foolishness.
The only wise thing for a wayward Christians to do is to take stock of his or her life, considering that in your waywardness, you are not pleasing to God, but He is waiting to retore you. Jesus’ story of the parodical son is a prime example of this.
“11 A certain man had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. 13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. 14 But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. 17 But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry” (Luke 15:11-24).
You see, it is not necessary that you, that I, that we, go through all that nonsense. If we let God’s Spirit rule in our lives, we will not involve ourselves in worldly things as did this son. And as important, we will be pleasing to Him, Who sacrificed so much for us.
